In John's gospel, Jesus said...
- "I am the bread of life" / "I am the living bread";
- "I am the light of the world";
- "I am the door of the sheep";
- "I am the good shepherd";
- "I am the rising again and the life" [or the resurrection and the life];
- "I am the way, and the truth, and the life";
- "I am the true vine";
- On several occasions Jesus said, "I am!" without using a metaphor.
Also in the book of Revelation, Jesus said...
- "I am the Alpha and the Omega – the Beginning and End – the First and the Last";
- "I am he who is searching reins and hearts" [or searching minds and hearts];
- "I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star!"
